Checklist Flow compared with Native Checklists for Jira (Resilia)
Checklist Flow for Jira 3.1.1 is the production version (1 November 2026). Last updated 1 November 2026. On the Atlassian Marketplace.
We make Checklist Flow for Jira. This page is neutral by rule: we take no commission from any app we compare, every statement about the other app comes from its own Marketplace listing or documentation with the date and link, and where we could not check something we say so.
Native Checklists for Jira (Resilia Tech) and Checklist Flow are built the same way: a checklist on a Jira work item, Required items, templates that apply by work type, a workflow validator, JQL and a progress field, both on Atlassian Forge. This page lists where they differ, using only what each side can show.
Everything about Native Checklists is from its Marketplace listing, read from the Marketplace REST on 30 October 2026. We did not install or test it. Everything about Checklist Flow is from our documentation, a live Jira Cloud test site, or the released code.

What the Native Checklists listing says
#| Topic | Their listing |
|---|---|
| Where the data is | "Each checklist is a Jira issue property, so it moves with the issue and is included in Jira backups and site migrations." |
| Hosting | "Built on Forge, with no external servers and no data egress." |
| Limits | "No item limit by plan." "Every plan gets the same features, up to 200 items per issue." |
| Items | "Headings, required items, numbering, links, bold and code" |
| Templates | "Templates with live preview; auto-apply by issue type and project" |
| Enforcement | "“Checklist is complete” workflow validator" |
| Search | "JQL: checklistOpen, checklistRequiredOpen, checklistTotal, checklistComplete" |
| Progress | "“Checklist progress” field for the backlog, issue view and JQL" |
| Permissions | "Follows Jira permissions: edit the issue to edit its checklist" |
The listing text we read does not mention a change history, an audit trail, an evidence export, release readiness, Jira Automation actions or Rovo. That is not proof that Native Checklists lacks them; it means we cannot compare them.

Where Native Checklists leads
#- Where the checklist lives. Their listing says the checklist is stored on the Jira issue itself and so travels with backups and site migrations. Checklist Flow keeps its records in Forge hosted storage, with a summary on the issue. If a Jira backup that contains the checklist matters to you, ask us and ask them what each backup contains.
- Price. Lower list price at 50 and 100 users, see the table.
- Simplicity. The listing is short and its feature set is small. If a checklist with a validator is all you need, that can be a point in its favour.
Where Checklist Flow differs
#- A change history that cannot be edited or cleared by any role, which you can export and verify.
- DoD Health and release readiness, which look across work items.
- A higher limit per work item: 2,000 entries (items and sections) against their 200 items.
- No track record yet on either side: 0 Marketplace reviews for Native Checklists and 0 for Checklist Flow on the date above.
How to choose
#Try both on one project; each is free up to 10 users. Check the validator message on a real transition, how the checklist looks for the people who tick it, and what you can export for an audit. Choose on those, not on this page.
